Visual Artists and Instructor
Mr. Ching Shyu, MFA, artist and fine art instructor. Mr. Shyu is a world class award-winning painter. His figure drawings were selected for the 2002 Winter Oylmpics in Salt Lake City and won an Olympic Artist Recognition Award. His water color painting won 2nd place in the US Watercolor Contest in 1989l and his brush painting won an Excellence Award in the 1994 Beijing International Brush Painting Competition. During the past decade, Mr. Shyu has created numerous dance art works for CPAA's promotional, fundraising and costume design purposes.
Mr. Shyu is also an art instructor with rich experience. He has taught figure drawing, watercolor and Chinese brush painting at UC, UNM and honored as a University Guest Artist. In the past six years, Mr. Shyu has been teaching children's fine art classes in Silicon Valley. He edited a series of fine art text-books for children, structured a unique children's art education system and mentored many young artists. His students won many top awards in California, US and International children's fine art competitions.
Mr. Shyu has joined the faculty of CPAA Arts Center and designed a rich fine art program for children. |
